If you read my last post, then you already know about the $157,000 dress. Well, just in time for the holiday season, I am now reporting on another absurd purchase, a $1,000 pair of jeans!
We've all heard of designer jeans going for $200 or even $300. It has become so common that we've pretty much started to accept it. But who is ready to pay four figures for denim? Not I!
An American company called PRPS is peddling jeans made from organic cotton (grown in Zimbabwe) that feature denim that is reportedly woven on vintage looms in Japan. Is this obscure process of denim manufacturing is enough to justify the $1,000 price tag? The owner of PRPS had this to say:
“The leather label in the back of the jean alone takes two days to create.”
Well then, that alone has to be worth $500! (/sarcasm)
"The lambskin is washed, hand-oiled and hung out to dry individually so no two leather patches are the same.”
Well, I suppose there is some value in that. I mean, if I'm spending nearly the equivalent of a starbucks baristas monthly paycheck on jeans, it would be nice to know that when I go clubbin' I won't have to deal with anyone else trying to jock my style!
Okay, I talked myself into it. Now where is my credit card....
I do think included bloggers are likely perfect, That's extraordinary, maintain it all away I will be having a look regarding all your new post! furniture restoration
